How big are the Micare machines?The machines are 10’8” wide, 8’6” deep and 9’10” high. The machines weigh approximately 20,000 pounds each. According to your published materials the system does not use water. Is there no water in your system for wet-side cleaning?The proprietary Micare detergent does contain a small amount of water to facilitate cleaning. Special pre-treatment solutions have been developed as well that can be applied to tough stains prior to placing the garments in the machine. What is your detergent?The current detergent formulation is analogous to a conventional “charged” system in operation, with make-up detergent added based on the rate of distillation. An injection detergent is under development as well. Micare detergent formulations are proprietary and are designed to improve the cleaning capacity of the carbon dioxide wash fluid. Micare products are non-toxic and contain no chlorinated chemicals. Are there any special handling instructions for detergents or detergent residue?No. The detergent and residue are non-hazardous and non-toxic.
